30 No-Bullshit Blog Post Ideas

Pardon my French.

In my little over six months of blogging, I’ve realized to gain traction, you need to blog for others. Not saying you need to blog about topics you hate, you’ll just burn out and eventually lose interest. What I mean is that you need to write to solve the readers problem.

Why should they come to your blog and read your posts? There are millions of blogs out there! Most likely a stranger isn’t going to care about personal details of your life, like your weekend trip to the beach, unless it offers them something in return like, ‘tips on how to pack light for a weekend getaway’ or ‘the perfect beach curls’. Which I know seems harsh. Blogging did start out as a way to document your life online. But to keep people engaged you need to give them value out of the content you write.

So I’ve come up with a list of 30 no-bullshit blog post ideas. The categories of these posts are taken from my own blog categories; Lifestyle, Learning and Health. In hopes of everyone being able to find something that suits their blog. Every post has value and will help keep their readers engaged and hopefully coming back for more!

This is such a useful post – it is good to see these posts including a range of genres; so many (also great posts) only focus on ideas for beauty bloggers – it is good to cover more topics x

This is such a good perspective (and some great prompts). I really couldn’t agree more. I mean, I do think that everyone’s entitled to use their blog as a journal if that’s what they want for it, but if you want engagement and to grow, then I think this is the way forward (although maybe not everyone wants that, and that’s fine too). Thank you for sharing this 🙂
