Does ELF Sell In China?

If you didn’t know, all products sold in mainland China are required by law to be tested on animals. So any company that sells their products in this country cannot be cruelty-free.

ELF does sell their products online that can be bought by people who live in China. But because the physical products are not sold in China, ELF is still cruelty-free.

ELF also manufactures their products in China. This does not change their cruelty-free status. Products made in China don’t have to be tested on animals, but all the products sold in China must be.

Is ELF Vegan?

Yes, ELF is 100% vegan.

To paraphrase their statement above:

“Our products do not contain animal derived ingredients. Beeswax has been replaced by synthetic beeswax and lanolin has been replaced by Bis-Diglyceryl P0lyacyladinpale-2.”

So,  ELF does not use any animal or animal by-products. Making all of their products suitable for vegans.

  1. Love ELF! I remember when they had JUST the $1 line. It’s been so cool to see how much they’ve grown and taking steps to make sure their products are cruelty free!

  2. I love ELF cosmetics! The price point is amazing.
It’s so much easier introducing my friends and family to vegan and cf alternatives when the price isn’t ridiculous.

On a side note, their finishing powders have never steered me wrong.
Hands down the best I’ve tried.
